Hello, I'm Tjakko Dijk, the founder of UrbanSphere Solutions. I come from the quiet town of Heemstede in The Netherlands, and my journey into urban planning was inspired by my brother studying landscape architecture. Over the years, I've worked in various private and public organizations, including advising the Dutch parliament and serving as a city councilor in Amsterdam.
As a sustainable urbanist, In The Netherlands I was dedicated to coordinating community-engaged processes to develop integrated long-term visions and strategies for municipalities. I firmly believe that every aspect of the environment where people live should be considered, blending challenges with opportunities.
Sustainability, to me, is not just a goal but a mindset—a way to make the world a little bit better and to turn climate change challenges into positive outcomes. I truly believe that sustainability is the new economy, driving innovation, and growth while preserving our planet for future generations.
Through my travels, I've witnessed the beauty of nature and the heartbreaking reality of environmental degradation. This drove me to dedicate my career to preserving and protecting our planet.

From Amsterdam to Sydney and now Bangkok, where I've found my home, I've been on a quest to explore different cultures and make a meaningful impact. Thailand's vibrant culture and warm-hearted people have captured my heart, and I'm committed to contributing to the transformation of urban landscapes in Southeast Asia.
